“I was told by another dentist that I don’t have enough bone, and that I’m not a good candidate for dental implants… how true is that?” That’s actually a really common question encountered throughout the years from many patients I’ve seen.
The short answer: Anybody can be a candidate for a dental implant.
The longer answer: Some patients might not have enough bone to get an implant but Dr. Kravitz has a way of making it possible through doing bone grafting or modifying your existing bone. Many times Dr. Kravitz can alter your bone to improve the clinical success without grafting.
We also recommend a digital x-ray or 3D x-ray (CT scan) to measure how much bone is present or missing. We try to avoid excessive x-rays to reduce levels of radiation for patients. Sometimes many x-rays are required to improve and evaluate the outcome.
Uniquely pioneered after extensive research and positive outcomes, 3 Minute Implant is my dental implant treatment technique that has led to exceptional results for thousands of patients over the years in Maryland and the greater DC area.
“The 3 Minute Implant is truly amazing. There’s a little pressure…and voila! I’ve been petrified of seeing dentists since I was young. In fact, I’ve passed out in the dentist’s chair a number of times before meeting Dr. Kravitz. Dr. K and his staff are sensitive and understanding, and they naturally soothed my fears. They explained the procedure and why it wouldn’t hurt–and it didn’t! A visit to Dr. K’s office is now more like a spa visit than a dental visit! It’s actually a pleasure,” says Nancy Jameson.
